Carrier-mounted and deck-engine powered, the RD20II features an actual pullback rating of 110,000 lb. (50,000 kg) and a 50 ft. (15.24 m) derrick to handle 30 ft. (9.13 m) drill pipe and Range II casing. The 110,000 lb. (49,896 kg) pullback rating enables the RD20II to drill 6 to 30 in. (152 to 762 mm) diameter holes. The patented carriage feed system concentrates the loads generated from pulldown and pullback to the lower half of the tower structure, reducing the need for a heavy derrick and fixed crown. With a 1250/350 air compressor and a variety of mud pump selections, the RD20II is capable of large diameter, deep well drilling including shallow oil and gas applications.
